First handslips!

It's always a great time in a pups rearing when you take them off for their first visit to a track. We gave the two Elite State pups their first handslips recently and they were both really keen and look natural chasers. Lulu is a fair bit smaller than Lenny (Lenny is pictured) so she's likely to be schooled agead of him, but it's something to look forward to over the next few months so fingers crossed!

Elite State Pups

Here's Lulu, the sister to the black dog. She;s coming along nicely.

Spring is here!

Sorry for lack of recent updates but it's been a quiet period for the last few months. With a wet winter there was not much happening but at last the better weather seems to be on its way.

The two Elite State pups are now a year old and they have come on really well. The black dog will represent the Blonde Poker forum when he hits the track and he is a nice big dog so we'll take our time with him. His sister is a bit smaller so she may well hit the track first, but there's still a long way to go with them both.

Here's the Blonde Poker dog, pictured with Steve.

And here is Lennys sister Lulu. They are both looking well but there's a long way to go between now and their first races, so it's fingers crossed for a trouble free 2009.

We also have a nice Tyrur Ted dog, named Landfall Ted, and he should start racing late spring if all goes according to plan.

Blondepoker The dog!!

If you like poker you should play on Blonde Poker - it's a great community and log on to Blondepoker.com for all the latest news. Now that's what I call a plug!!

We recently bought a couple of May saplings by Elite State and Catunda Olivia, and the dog will race in the name of my favourite poker community, so look out for Blondepokerdtcom at a track near you this time next year!

Here he is - also known as Lenny - and we'll follow his progress through to his first race.

December Update

We had some complications with Shelly and she had toi go to the vet a couple of weeks before the pups were due. There were some internal problems and he had to operate - the end result was that she lost her pups but she is fine now which is the main thing. There's always next time.

Landfall Scholes has moved on - he's been sold and gone to race at Oxford. He gave us a lot of fun and will no doubt win lots of races in England.

Recently Steve took a bitch in to whelp down - and she has had six lovely pups to Head Bound. I think they'll be leaving when old enough for the owner to rear, but they are in good nick and mum is doing well too.
